To
Build a Level...
These are the utilities
I use. |
 |
JED
.93 Beta (644K)
Screenshot |
An excellent level editor for Jedi
Knight. All expert level editors use JED because of its ability
to create anything exactly how you want to make it.
|
| |
Cogwriter
(349k) |
A program that assists in writing
cogs, this also has a function which checks a cog for errors. It
also has a built-in line builder which uses a library of JK functions
that you can browse through.
|
| |
ConMan
0.9a (162k) |
Container Manager... This is a very
easy to use Gob extraction utility.
|
| |
Matmaster
2.0 Beta (272k)
Screenshot |
This converts *.BMP files to *.MAT
files and visa-versa, it is very easy to use.
|
| |
JK
Specs (120k) |
This is a GREAT Jedi Knight Reference,
I use it a lot, it is unofficial information on just about every
aspect of editing JK.

 |
JED Plugins -¤-
These
are plugins I use the most. |
 |
WSH.EXE(574K) |
Windows Scripting Host... You must
have this in order to run some of the following plugins for JED.
|
| |
Adjoin
Jiffy (250k) |
This allows you to adjoin two surfaces
that might have different shapes, but must have the same number
of vertices. The surfaces don't have to be touching each other either.
Also included is a faster, invisible version called "Adjoin Jiffy
Quicky". Good for more of an amatuer level creationist.
|
| |
Flagman1
(3.7k)
^Must Have^ |
This plugin allows an editor to
automate the flag setting procedure in JED. Simply put, if you wanted
all instances of the material "00_Fdeck.mat" to sound like metal
when walked upon, you'd use Flagman. The editor need only to select
one surface with "00_Fdeck.mat" on it, set the flags to his liking
(in this case for "metal"), and run this plug in. After that every
single place "00_Fdeck.mat" appears so will the "metal" flag. Use
with caution, you wouldn't want to accidentally turn off the majority
of the "floor" flags in your level!!
**NOTE: This program affects ONLY the "Surface Flags" all other
flags (texture, adjoin, face) will not, and cannot, be affected.
|
| |
JedVecCalc
(127k) |
This calculates the unit vector
required in some cogs. You can enter the coordiantes manually or
multiselect objects (vertices, things or lights) and it will read
in their coordinates.

| |
Or
you could just goto the Code Alliance,
and look at their downloads area. |
